It is very important to get terminology right in life, particularly when talking about al-Islam, the deen of Allah. If we must use 'Islamist' in articles, then let's at least put them in inverted commas as Islam is not an 'ism' like other religions and ideologies. Therefore, those who - rightly - believe in the validity of Islam and the invalidity of Kufr in all its forms, such as Capitalism, Democracy, Liberalism and Christianity, should not be termed 'Islamists' by anybody, especially Muslims.
